A pre-operative anesthesia clinic can be visited on an outpatient basis. This consists of a chest X-ray, an ECG, laboratory tests and a report from the patient’s physician regarding his suitability for anaesthesia. The patient should bring reports and findings from his practising urologist (PSA, histopathology report of the biopsy of his prostate, transrectal ultrasound). An enema is administered in the morning of the intervention to cleanse the bowel.
