Cooperation of the Department of Urology

The Department of Urology at Caritas Hospital St. Josef represents the University of Regensburg as regards teaching and research. Within the terms of a cooperation agreement, urological treatment has been undertaken for Regensburg University Clinic since 1992. The Department of Urology at Caritas Hospital St. Josef has been established as a professorate of Regensburg University since 2003.

In this respect it is important to emphasise the close link to the Department of Pediatric Urology at St. Hedwig’s Clinic (Prof. Dr. W. Roesch), which is subordinated to the Department of Urology at Caritas Hospital St. Josef within the university framework.

Appointments are scheduled by our central reservations management where we can also take your special wishes concerning optional services into consideration. You can contact us from Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 7 a.m. until 12 noon.

For admission as an inpatient, please report to the Patient Service Center at the agreed time.

After your personal data have been recorded, a post-admissions examination will be performed by a specialist physician who will also discuss with you any other examinations which may be necessary and the operation itself.

If an operation is planned, you will be examined by the anaesthetist who will answer any questions you may have concerning the anesthetic. You can then occupy your room on the ward.
