Referral of inpatients

Mr. Liebl and Ms. Bene will be pleased to refer you to the clinical senior consultant if you should have any queries.

Otherwise you can leave the details of your registration on the answering machine and we will call you back as soon as possible. In urgent cases and emergencies, the switchboard (Tel. +49 941 782-0) will put you through directly to the colleague on duty.
For the first contact with the Clinic, for possible clarification of indications for surgery, for obtaining a second opinion, etc., our surgery hours are available to both you and your patients.

For non-private patients with state insurance we require a referral note.

Preparation for surgery

In preparation for surgery, the following data are required, which you can establish within the pre-admission examination:

Evaluated ECG for all patients over the age of 50 or those with a previous history of coronary heart or pulmonary disease.
Evaluated chest X-ray for all patients over the age of 50 or those with a previous history of coronary heart or pulmonary disease.
The following blood test findings which should not be more than 10 days old: haemogram, electrolytes, creatinin, blood sugar, GPT, Quick and PTT - for gall bladder patients y-GT and lipase in addition.
In the case of thyroid disorders and examinations involving a contrast medium (angiography, phlebography, Angio-CT) TSH, T3, T4
An admission authorization form for inpatients is also required.
Important: if the patient is taking anti-coagulants (Marcumar, ASS or similar), anti-coagulation therapy should be ceased a few days prior to the operation. If the indication so requires, low-dose-heparinisation is possible.
